What you send us through our forms

Our forms only collect what you type into them, plus the page you sent it from. The website is hosted by Netlify, and Netlify stores each form we receive.

• Book direct: your name, email, optional phone number, dates, guest and pet details, and your message. We use it to answer you about a stay.
• 10% off your stay, event alerts, and trip alerts: your email, an optional first name, and the dates or towns you picked.
• Add-on requests: your name, email, optional phone number, arrival date, where you booked, the add-ons you picked, and your notes. We use it to confirm your add-ons.
• Submit an event: the event's name, dates, place, and details, and your contact details so we can follow up.
• Get featured in our guides: your business details, your contact details, and why you'd like to be included.

Email sign-ups

We only email you about what you signed up for: your 10% off, new events in the towns you chose, or changes for your trip dates.

Your sign-up is stored with Netlify. Reply to any email from us to stop getting them.

What your browser remembers

If you close one of our pop-ups or sign up, your browser saves a small note so we don't ask you again for a while. That note stays in your browser and isn't sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Visit counts (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read, and roughly where they come from. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google details like the pages you view, your device and browser, and an approximate location. We use it only to understand our traffic, not to show you ads. Google explains how it uses this data at policies.google.com, and you can opt out with Google's browser add-on.

Outside services our pages use

• Netlify hosts the site and handles our forms.
• Google Fonts provides our typefaces, so your browser loads them from Google.
• Unsplash and Pexels host some of the photos on our guides.
• Google Maps maps appear on some guides. Google loads them when you open those pages.
• Ticketmaster event listings can appear in Plan my trip. Ticket links go straight to Ticketmaster, which handles the sale. We don't earn anything from them.
• Viator (a Tripadvisor company) links on some guides are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you book a tour through them. Viator handles the booking and payment on its own site.
• Travelpayouts, an affiliate network for travel brands like GetYourGuide, runs a small script on our pages. It can turn some links into affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you book through them, and it sends Travelpayouts information about page visits and link clicks so bookings can be credited to us.

Send us a note through the Book direct form with "privacy" in your message, or message us on VRBO or Airbnb. We'll answer and delete what you ask us to.
