Corporate getaways

Give your people a real break.

A corporate getaway near Dallas that has nothing to do with work: a quiet tiny home on open farmland for employee rewards, holiday gifts, client thank-yous, and anyone who needs a weekend off.

Gift cards get spent on groceries. A weekend on a porch under the stars gets remembered. If you want to thank someone who carried the quarter, give them somewhere to rest.

Ways companies use it

Reward

Employee of the quarter

Two nights away for the person who carried the project. A better story than another plaque.

Gift

Holiday gifts that aren't stuff

Send dates for after the holiday rush, so the gift lands when they actually need it.

Thanks

Client appreciation

Thank a client with a quiet weekend for two, close enough to Dallas to say yes to.

Travel

Decompress after a DFW work trip

Extend a business trip with a night or two of real quiet before the flight home.

Team

A weekend off together

A small team that just shipped something big, with no agenda except the porch.

Wellness

A reset for burned-out people

It's extremely quiet out here, with a premium mattress and stars at night. Sometimes that's the whole prescription.

What their weekend looks like

Self check-in with a lockbox, a full kitchen, and a covered porch facing open farmland. Then whatever they want:

  • For couples: date-night dinners, wineries, and a couples massage. See our romantic getaway guide.
  • For families: splash pads, a drive-in, and day trips. See things to do with kids.
  • For a slow weekend: the courthouse square, antiques, and the creek trail. See our 48-hour plan.
  • For sports fans: a Cowboys or Mavs game, then a quiet night. See game days and concerts.
  • For the dog lovers: pets are welcome with approval. See our pet guide.

Booking for someone else

  1. Send the dates and the guest's name through our booking form (choose "Gift, reward, or business stay"), and ask about invoicing your company.
  2. Prefer to book yourself? Until our direct booking opens, book on VRBO or Airbnb and expense the receipt.
  3. We take it from there and send the check-in details to your guest.

House rules for every guest: up to 7 overnight guests, no parties or outside visitors, and quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Questions we get

Is a getaway a good employee reward or holiday gift?

For a lot of people, yes. A weekend away gives them something to look forward to and a story to tell, and it's simpler to plan than a big event. Ours is a quiet tiny home about 35 minutes from Dallas.

Can my company pay for an employee's stay?

Yes. Send the dates through our booking form and ask about invoicing your company. Until direct booking is open, you can also book on VRBO or Airbnb and expense the receipt.

Can I book a stay for someone else?

Yes. Tell us who's staying and their dates, and we'll handle the rest. House rules apply to every guest.

How many people can stay?

Up to 7 overnight, so it works for a couple, a family, or a small team that wants a weekend off together.

Is this a work retreat?

Not this page. This is for rest. If your team needs to work through a plan, see our small corporate retreat guide.

How far is it from Dallas and Fort Worth?

About 35 minutes from downtown Dallas and about 50 minutes from downtown Fort Worth, without traffic.

Can guests bring their dog?

Yes, with prior approval and a small pet fee.

Thank them with a weekend.

Send the dates and who it's for.
