Some weekends don't need an itinerary. They need a porch, a big sunset, and nobody asking you for anything. Our tiny home sits on the edge of 1,800 acres of open farmland just outside Waxahachie, about 35 minutes from Dallas.
Why couples book it
- Golden hour on the porch. A deep covered porch made for rocking chairs, and sunsets that put on a show most nights.
- Real stars. Far enough from the city that the sky actually fills in.
- The fireplace. A color-changing LED fireplace, from warm red to cool blue. Pick your mood.
- Everything on one floor. The queen bedroom and full bathroom are on the main level. The loft is for groups, so it just stays empty.
- A kitchen worth cooking in. Stainless appliances and a farmhouse sink, for a dinner you make together.
- No long drive. About 35 minutes from Dallas, so the weekend starts sooner.
Made for
- Anniversaries and birthdays. A quiet place to celebrate without a crowd.
- Proposals. The porch at sunset does most of the work. If you're planning to ask, let us know when you book.
- Babymoons. A slow weekend before life gets busy. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Waxahachie is about 8 minutes away, if that helps anyone relax.
- A reset. No occasion needed. Sometimes you just need two nights off.

Or stay in
- Cook dinner together and eat on the porch.
- Bring a blanket and wait for the stars. The darkest skies are on weekends near a new moon.
- Set the fireplace to warm red and put on a movie on the smart TV.
- Listen for the freight train on the far line. Somehow it makes the quiet feel even quieter.
For the photos
The fields out back change with the seasons: green, then gold, then round hay bales scattered to the tree line. Golden hour on the porch or out by the bales makes for photos you'll actually want to print.
Good to know
It's a tiny home, about 400 square feet. The main floor has the queen bedroom, the full bathroom with a walk-in shower, the kitchen, and the living room. The loft is up a wooden staircase. It's cozy on purpose.
Questions we get
Is the tiny home private?
Yes. You have the whole tiny home to yourselves, with a private entrance. We're right here on the property if you need anything, and we'll leave you alone if you don't.
Where do couples sleep?
In the queen bedroom on the main floor, with the full bathroom right there. The loft upstairs is extra sleeping space for groups, so couples usually leave it empty.
How far is it from Dallas?
About 35 minutes from downtown Dallas, so you spend the weekend together instead of in the car.
Can we bring our dog?
Yes, with prior approval and a small pet fee. Read our pet-friendly guide for details.
