Why a solo retreat

Quiet

No one needs you here

It's extremely quiet: no lobby, no hallway, no neighbors through the wall, no one knocking with a question.

Space

Room to think

A covered porch with rocking chairs facing open farmland. The big decisions get easier when the horizon is far away.

Sleep

Sleep like it matters

A premium mattress on the main-floor queen. Most leaders are running on less sleep than they admit.

Private

Come and go unseen

Self check-in with a lockbox and parking at the door. No check-in desk, no small talk.

Coffee and a book on a tray on the queen bed at The Waxahachie Tiny Home
The agenda: coffee, a book, and nowhere to be.

Questions we get

What is a think week?

A few days alone, away from meetings and messages, to read, think, and make the big decisions. Bill Gates made the idea famous by taking think weeks at a cabin. Ours is a tiny home on open farmland about 35 minutes from Dallas.

Is this a good place for a solo retreat near Dallas?

Yes. It's a private, extremely quiet tiny home with self check-in, a covered porch facing open farmland, and walking trails, yoga, and massage about 10 minutes away.

Is there anywhere for a silent or digital detox retreat near Dallas?

This is a good one. There's no front desk, no lobby, and no neighbors through the wall. Put the phone in a drawer, take a notebook to the porch, and let the quiet do its work.

Will anyone know I'm there?

Not unless you tell them. Check-in is self-serve with a lockbox, and while we live on the property, we leave guests to themselves.

Is the WiFi good enough for a call if I need one?

We have fast WiFi. If you need a proper room with a whiteboard, the Growth Alliance Center about 9 minutes away has a conference room and a $30 day pass, weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

How far is it from the Dallas airports?

About 45 minutes from Dallas Love Field and about an hour from DFW International Airport, without traffic.

Can I get a massage or a workout nearby?

Yes. Healing Touch Massage Studio is about 10 minutes away and open every day, Hourglass Pilates opens at 5 a.m. on weekdays, and G.O. Fit is open 24 hours.

Can my assistant book it for me?

Yes. Send the dates through our booking form or book on VRBO or Airbnb, and tell us who's staying.
