Mansfield is the Pickle Capital of Texas, and it means it: more than 30,000 people turn out every March to watch the Pickle Queens throw pickles from a parade float. The rest of the year it's a big, growing suburb with a walkable historic Main Street, two of the best-rated parks in the area, a summer water park, and restaurants that draw people from all over the south side of Dallas-Fort Worth.

We host a tiny home about 35 minutes southeast of Mansfield, out in the Ellis County farmland. This is our guide to the best things to do in Mansfield, TX, plus the early breakfasts, laundromats, hospitals, and job sites that crews and travel nurses ask us about. Every restaurant and attraction we feature was rated 4.3 stars or higher on Google when we checked, unless we say otherwise.
